Parent's Corner
Mission of the Alvarado School Association (ASA):
The Alvarado School Association (ASA) is a parent/teacher organization (PTO) designed to raise money to better Alvarado Elementary School and improve student learning. We provide money for the workroom, teacher supplies, field trip busses, play structures, some supplemental art & classroom materials, social events, and, at times, for additional art/music instruction (funding for salary of these instructors).
Welcome From ASA
Welcome to a new school year in the beautiful North Valley. The geese are already starting their southward migration and can be heard/seen in the open space behind Alvarado. The school garden is in full bloom and the ASA Board is looking forward to another year at Alvarado Elementary School! We are excited to meet new parents who may want to get more involved (in any way) in the school and their children's education.
Parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. are encouraged to get involved in whatever ways they feel comfortable. We are always looking for help with special events (ice cream social, fall carnival, etc.) and fundraisers (Sally Foster, Entertainment Books, etc.). And, of course, it's really important that we get as much participation as possible in the school's major fundraising activities since it is these programs that allow us to provide the much needed supplemental funds to our school and its amazing staff.
If you are interested in helping out in any way, please contact one of the ASA officers listed below. ASA meetings are open to everyone. Please consider joining us!
