Mrs. Karnas has been a part of the Alvarado family since 1997. Her
favorite thing about Alvarado is the wonderful community of students,
parents, teachers, and staff members...past AND present! As part of
her job as instructional coach, Ms. Karnas gets to learn new things
about the best ways to help children learn. Then she gets to share
what she's learned with the teachers at Alvarado so they can do the
best job they can in helping Alvarado students to learn. She's been a
teacher, parent, and now support teacher at the school. Mary Ellen's
job as Instructional Coach is to support all Alvarado community members
in any way she can and she gladly does so. She may not have all the
answers, but she's not afraid to search for them. If you have
questions about academics at Alvarado (curriculum, programs,
assessment, testing, etc.), please don't hesitate to contact her.
